A giant sparkling Christmas star standing 25ft high and 25ft wide will be lighting up Chester city centre this festive season as part of CH1ChesterBID’s annual Christmas celebrations.

Known as the ‘CheSTAR’, the show-stopping decoration features almost 19,000 twinkling lights and has been handcrafted especially for the city this Christmas.

The city’s Business Improvement District (BID) company has revealed the CheSTAR will be installed in the grounds of Chester Cathedral on St Werburgh Street and will be illuminated from 17th November 2016
